This is a lovely Antique Regency Rosewood table c1811-20.  It is raised on turned and gadrooned feet with inset invisible castors after the Gillows style with quatra form base.  The central columns has a double collar to the base and a hexagonal tapering form.  The top has two real drawers and two  dummy drawers on the other side.  It retains its original locks and escutcheons but the key is a replacement.  The Rosewood is stunning with bracket decoration to each side of the drawers and dummy drawers.  A lovely piece.

When this was made our we had not defeated Napoleon and the Crimea War had not been thought of, we ruled the waves and had just finished our second War with America.
